OK. I’m super-bored. I know, I know… How could I possibly be bored in Manhattan on a long weekend? Well, I don’t really feel like going out. I’m kinda broke. I already saw “Star Wars.” Roommate and several friends are out of town, and several others are busy already. Mostly because I’m broke, really.
I got up yesterday, went on a nice 4 mile walk to breakfast, did some meandering, and headed back home to do some laundry before going out for, like, a beer. Woke up this morning, cooked breakfast for the first time since I got here, and went on a 3 mile walk to lunch after cleaning up the apartment and making room for my friend L.B., who’ll be staying with us for two weeks starting on Wednesday. Anyway, I’m kinda done walking everywhere, and a bit on the tired side.
I thought for a minute about catching the free New York Philharmonic Memorial Day concert (“Romeo and Juliet” and “Scherazade”) at St. John’s, which is a 5 minute walk from here, but there’s probably already a line, and even if I got there in a few minutes, the last thing I’d wanna do is stand in line for 3 hours.
Respond to an “It’s snowing in the East Village” post on CL by some NYU student on an NSA hunt? I think not.
So… I might just sit in my apartment and eat sushi. I mean, things could be worse.
